Our company’s dedication to our tea-growing communities and the storied tradition of Indian tea makes every sip of Premier’s an ethical one.

The sanctity of pure tea is our priority. We believe that the luxury of tea lies in its precise origins. All of our leaves only come into contact with teas from the same source. This means when you order Assam or Darjeeling Tea from Premier’s, you get the highest-quality single-origin tea on the market.

The pleasure of sipping Premier’s is firmly rooted in Purity.

The Traditional Earl Grey

Earl Grey tea has a unique taste and a lovely aroma. It’s made using black tea and bergamot orange extract and is a popular drink worldwide, which has been enjoyed for hundreds of years. Black tea leaves are traditionally grown in India’s hilly regions, and extract from the Citrus Bergamia tree is added to create earl greys unique flavour.

Producing your cup of Earl Grey

The dried tea leaves are sprayed with either an extract from the bergamot tree or essential oil during production. Earl Grey can also be produced by mixing dried bergamot rinds with the tea. Whichever method is used during production, Earl Grey has a mild citrus-like taste.

Earl grey tea got its name from British Prime Minister, Earl Grey, who enjoyed the drink. For this reason, many people consider Earl Grey, which is also known as bergamot tea, as an English drink. However, it was traditionally produced in Southeast Asia and drunk widely by citizens. Today Earl Grey tea is cultivated in citrus growing regions of Southern Italy.

Brew Yourself the Perfect One!

To brew the tea, add the leaves or tea bags to a teapot or cup and add boiling water. Leave to brew for between two to three minutes or as per desired strength, before straining. Additional sweeteners may be added to taste.
